this is the first image will be displayed at the touch screen.

When user choose any category, there will be a welcome video launch and give brife information of the museum and the each category.

After the vedio, the right hand side information bar will show up and the screen will automatically show the museum collections of each category.

viewers can touch on the images to see each collection categories.

When users pick any right hand side bar, the museum categories will disappear.(but when put hands close to that area, the categories will appear again) For example, when user picks "tickets", the daily movie show time will appear. Users can pick each movie titles to see more.

when click on the movie titles, each movie will give a short describtion and a movie preview.

Jenny Holzer's work

I had the idea last week that the NMM big text will be either projector or rolling screen on its own building, Dan was suggested me to check Jenny Holzer's work. Never really heard her name before, but after click few links I saw many of her great work with projectors on large buildings with smart texts.

NMM building signages examples

I can only put a image of what's sort of in my mind right now, since I haven't get the design for the device and Kiosk yet, so I'm not sure this will be the graphic for final. Just some examples that I explained in my creative brief.

NMM exprience board

images inside the museum

NMM competitors board

NMM is the only media museum in UK, even compare with US. so I don't quite know what their competitors would be but I think most of contemporary museums and technology museums, since they mostly targeting school age visitors.

NMM mood boards

examples of what kind of interaction and what type of the devices should be looks like.

Project 2: National Media Museum

Creative briefs

The ideas are creating kiosks around places such as bus stop, school or learning senter to bring more younger audiences to the museum, also for people whom couldn't physically be there at least they can know more about the exhibitions or collections. It can also put inside the museum to sell tickets or help visitors plan their time schedule at the museum.

another one is the video/audio device visitors can bring with them through out the tour in the museum, it automatically sensor the place you are and will explain to you what you are viewing, it can contain short videos for each exhibition and audios to give visitor an individual tour.

last one is to use the information system created for the kiosks and devices and put them as graphics on the NMM building...

National Media Museum

National Media Museum is locates in UK, it covers from photography, film, radio, TV to web.

Here is a brief summary about this museum

thoughts on Project 2
